‘The aim of the PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION (PTA) is to provide social events and activities for the Barnsbury School children, parents & teachers and to raise funds for specific projects in the school’.
The PTA meets these 2 aims by having ‘Fun while Fundraising’. It co-ordinates a range of social occasions throughout the school year (from ‘Freezepop Fridays’ right up to major events like the Christmas Fair). All events raise funds for specific projects to improve the facilities of the school (e.g. the PTA has recently funded the new playgrounds in KS1 and KS2).
All parents, carers and teachers of children at Barnsbury Primary School are automatically members of the Barnsbury PTA. An elected committee co-ordinates the PTA meetings and events. Activities are open to all members. The PTA relies on the support of volunteers and the more people that get involved, the more we can achieve (which benefits everybody!). Every little helps, so your involvement can be big or small.
